Biography

Maria Hämäläinen is a Finnish pianist and pedagogue. Her performances have been described as follows: "elegant", "refined" (Helsingin Sanomat), and "mastered" (Hufvudstadsbladet). She has studied and took part at masterclasses with the finest classical musicians and artists of our times such as Ivry Gitlis, Robert Levin, Joanna MacGregor, Noriko Ogawa, Anna Kuvaja, Jon Storgårds, Tomas Djupsjöbacka, Ralf Gothoni, Marko Ylönen, Ilja Scheps and Erik T. Tawaststjerna. In 2020 Maria graduated from Prof. Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris' piano class at Sibelius-Academy and holds the master degree in classical piano performance from University of Arts Helsinki.
