Trio Fermo
Trio Fermo is a nationally and internationally award-winning Finnish piano trio operating since 2014. In February 2016 Trio Fermo won first prize in the VI national Erkki Melartin chamber music competition and the special prize for the best performance of an Erkki Melartin composition.

Trio Fermo is a nationally and internationally acclaimed Finnish piano trio that has been active since 2014. In February 2016, Trio Fermo won first prize at the VI National Erkki Melartin Chamber Music Competition and received a special prize for the best performance of Erkki Melartin's composition.

In January 2017, the trio won first prize at the VIII Savshinsky International Music Competition in St. Petersburg. Their competitive streak continued in March 2017 with the first prize at the XI Juvenalia Chamber Music Competition.

Trio Fermo is coached by cellist-conductor Tomas Djupsjöbacka (Meta4) at the Sibelius Academy. The group's work has also been greatly influenced by their initial coach, Paavo Pohjola, chamber music instructor at the Sibelius Academy, as well as legendary violinist Ivry Gitlis and violinist-conductor John Storgårds.
